Avril Ramona Lavigne is a singer-songwriter and actress from Belleville, Ontario, Canada.  Lavigne rose to fame in 2002 after releasing her debut album, 'Let Go', which has sold nearly 30 million copies worldwide since.  Lavigne is initially known for her 'skater punk' style, and this image has stuck with her since her breakthrough into the mainstream with hits such as 'Sk8er Boi' and 'Complicated'.  Her second and third albums, 'Under My Skin' and 'The Best Damn Thing', topped charts worldwide and marked 3 total times that Lavigne would top the UK charts with an album.  After her fourth and fifth album releases in 2011 and 2013 performed well internationally, Lavigne took a break from the music scene to delve into other artistic avenues.  In 2006 she made her voice acting and on-screen debut's in the films 'Over The Hedge' and 'Fast Food Nation'. She has released her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn, and several perfumes.  Lavigne was married to Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley for four years before filing for divorce, though the two continued working together. Lavigne has since married Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger in 2013.
