  'Day-O(The Banana Boat Song)' is a traditional Jamaican folk song. The song has been covered by several artists, most notably by Jamaican-American singer Harry Belafonte in 1956.  Belafonte's rendition of the song reached number five on the charts in 1957, marking it the most well known version of the song.
